ABC-7 First Alert: Scattered showers & thunderstorms this afternoon
El Paso, Texas- Happy Father's Day & Juneteenth everyone! This afternoon will kick off a very active weather pattern for the Borderland.
An abundant surge of moisture will continue to funnel into the region helping ignite storms later today. A few showers and thunderstorms could develop before noon especially across areas west of the Rio Grande. The winds will be generally from the south between 10 and 20 mph with below-normal high temperatures.
