EL PASO, TX (KVIA) -- During the Nov. 2023 election season, Texas voters have the opportunity to shape the state's future through 14 proposed constitutional amendments. This offers a chance for direct involvement in state-level policy decisions. Early voting began on Oct. 23 and continues until Nov. 3. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Melissa Martin, representing the County Elections Department, emphasizes the importance of participating in these elections, "it affects every voter, directly, especially when we have local elections on the ballot.”

The Village of Vinton and Horizon City will have local elections on their ballot. Horizon City residents will see a proposition to annex Cochran Colonia subdivision into the Horizon Regional Municipal Utility District. Village of Vinton residents will vote for an Aldermen, the candidates are all uncontested, but you can choose a write-in candidate.

There are 32 locations in El Paso County for early voting listed on the El Paso County Elections Department website.
