EL PASO, Texas -- Joe Biden, who has more endorsements from the Texas congressional delegation than any other Democratic presidential candidate, picked up another one on Monday.

El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar through her nod behind the former vice president just a day before Super Tuesday voting in Texas and elsewhere.

She becomes at least the fourth member of Congress in Texas to back Biden, according to Texas Tribune archives.

“In the 2020 election, experience matters. That’s why I’m endorsing Vice President Joe Biden for President of the United States as the best candidate to take on Donald Trump and the chaos his administration has created. Communities like mine in El Paso need real solutions to the problems we are facing. From gun violence prevention to immigration reform, Vice President Biden has the integrity, experience and record of successful governing to lead our nation,” Escobar said in a statement announcing her endorsement.

Escobar's endorsement comes as polls show Biden trailing Bernie Sanders among Texas Democratic voters.

    1. Maybe, it is a primary and it’s mostly people who are into politics voting in those. Majority of her voters just voted for her because she has a D after her name.

  1. This is very concerning. I don’t give a flip about Escobar but when the person who claims to represent us decides to support a person who is clearly suffering from a severe mental decline it is alarming. Joe Biden might have been a legitimate candidate at one point in his career but that day has clearly passed. The man doesn’t know where he is half the time and at one point said he was running for U. S. Senate. Although I don’t agree with them, I understand people supporting the communist Sanders or the mini-man Bloomturd. They both say stupid stuff and would bankrupt our country financially and morally. I understand uneducated, incompetent voters supporting any of them. They don’t know any better. But Biden is not ok. He is clearly in a cognitive decline. For Escobar to support him is irresponsible and she should know better. She’s apparently just as dumb as her voters and her hatred for Trump drives everything she does.

    1. No it’s obvious that she’s a partisan and her party is scared of Bernie Sanders being the nominee, this is a Democrat establishment endorsement. I don’t actually think she thinks Biden is the man to win the presidency, or at least I hope she’s not that dumb.

  2. Who cares what she thinks or who she is endorsing. What did she do to improve El Paso County when was county judge except to vote herself and the Commission’s court a hefty raise and to raise taxes? Name one thing she has done for El Paso since she has been a U.S. representative except bashing OUR President.

    1. She did the SOTU response in Spanish? I guess that was cool for the whole 5 people who watched that trash. If anything she’s been detrimental to El Paso County with her dangerous rhetoric calling the detention centers as “concentration camps” to invoke the Holocaust and somehow make that equivalency, by advocating for more illegal aliens to come in, these are not pluses for El Paso.
