Arizona State to face Florida State in the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl
EL PASO, Texas -- Arizona State, which finished 7-5, will face Florida State, 6-6 on the season, in the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl from El Paso's Sun Bowl Stadium on New Year's eve.
This will mark the third time in the last six seasons that the Pac-12's Sun Devils have played in the Sun Bowl and the seventh time overall. ASU's Sun Bowl record is 3-2-1.
This will be the ACC's Seminoles first trip to the Sun Bowl in more than five decades, with the two prior appearances coming in 1966 and 1955.
The Sun Devils finished up their regular season by making headlines with a signature upset victory against Oregon, who was ranked No. 6 at the time.
The Seminoles will come into the Sun Bowl game having just announced the hiring of former Arizona State offensive coordinator and current Memphis coach Mike Norvell as its new head football coach.
Tickets to the game can be purchased on ticketmaster.com, at the Sun Bowl Association Office or by calling (915) 533-4416.
