ABC-7 First Alert: Windy weekend ahead

Happy Friday everyone! After a few days of really pleasant weather, things are going to change in a windy way for this weekend. Starting tomorrow, winds will gust up to 35 mph out of the southwest, which will start the weekend off with a bang. Sunday, the winds will gust up to 45 mph, and on Monday, back down to 30 mph wind gusts.

Eastsiders and northeasters, you guys will definitely want to prepare as they may be stronger on your side of town. That being said...if you are reading this right now and it is still Friday...go outside and put all of your loose items away, or really secure them as they could blow away this weekend! Rain chances will increase through Monday, but chances are still relatively low (around 10-30%). Mountainous areas are more likely to see rain, but if you get any at your place it will likely be light to moderate showers.

From Saturday to Monday, there will be a 20-degree temperature drop so get those blankets out once again! By Tuesday, we will be warming up a little each day and going back to dry conditions. Stay safe and warm!
