El Paso Central Appraisal District presenting preliminary property valuations ahead of May deadline

El Pasoans are working to file protests to their property valuations as the county continues to release mass appraisals.

The El Paso Central Appraisal District offers three different ways for property owners to file a protest, which they specifically noted during a presentation to El Paso County Commissioners Court:

  • A property owner can file through a hardcopy: which includes, by paper fax and email. This way includes an appraisal notice, and the forms must be printed through the website.
  • Protests can be filed digitally by filling out an online form. These can be accessed through a property search or a QR code. Then property owners can upload evidence, as well as have n informal hearing.
  • The third option is an E-file; propery owners can make an account online, upload evidence and receive an offer through their email. No informal hearing is available with this option.
