ABC-7 First Alert: Another hot day, scattered storms chance through tonight

The First Alert continues for more hot temperatures on Wednesday. Scattered thunderstorms will develop over the mountains before moving south tonight.

The weather story continues to be sweltering this week. Temperatures are expected to be 100 to 107 degrees.

The El Paso metro area will be under the excessive heat warning until 6 AM Thursday, which will then drop to a heat advisory from 6 AM Thursday until 6 AM Saturday.
