ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Warm and dry for your Saturday
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)-- Happy Saturday! We begin the start of your weekend looking warm and dry.
We start fof Labor day weekend in the upper 90's potentially hitting 100. The heat continues to be a heavy topic, although cooler than we've seen, it is not the norm to see temperatures this high during this time of year.
Right now 2023 holds second place for the hottest year on record for El Paso with 61 triple digit temperatures. The year 1994 holds first place with 62 triple digits temps. So we are not far behind.
We continue to experience our driest monsoon season yet. Most areas won't see rain for your Saturday but an isolated storm could always pop up.
There are a lot of festivities happening this Labor Day Weekend so if you have out door plans weather should be calm. As always though stay hydrated to protect yourself from the heat.
