Police Confirm No Suspect In Latest Homocide

EL PASO, TX – Police officials have not named a suspect in the city’s latest murder and remain secretive about their investigation.

71-year-old Joyce Villalobos was found dead inside her home in the 3800 block of Cambridge in central El Paso.

Monday, Police were still patrolling the scene and said they would continue to do so during the investigation.

Details about the murder remain vague and police only say they talked to Villalobos’ husband, who has not been confirmed as a suspect in the case. They also failed to make it clear if the murder was the work of an intruder who broke into the house.

A police spokesman stated no more information on the murder will be released at the request of investigators.

Neighbors tell ABC-7 they remain shocked at what happened inside Villalobos’ home and have become impatient with the investigation. “They haven’t answered any questions. We know the Villalobos’s pretty well, they’re a very nice couple that never showed any violent acts and the cops refuse to tell us if it was anybody else or if Mr. Villalobos is okay…we just don’t know what’s going on at all,” stated Tasha Quezada.
