Javier was born and raised in El Paso, and except for a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy, he has lived here all of his life. He graduated from Ysleta High School, and holds an associate??s degree from El Paso Community College. Javier also attended Harris Transmitter School and Larcon Transmitter School. He has worked for several stations in the El Paso/Las Cruces area, including KRWG-TV and KCOS-TV. Javier has been with KVIA-7 for 11 years, and is our Transmitter Engineer.

Javier has been married to Gloria for 26 years. He and his wife have 2 children, Andrea, who is 21, and Javier Jr., who is 11. They also have a dog named Yoshi. Javier enjoys spending time with his family, and when he??s not at work, likes to oil paint.
