AAA: Tx Gasoline Prices Sag; EP Prices Down 10 Cents

IRVING, Texas (AP) – Retail gasoline prices fell across Texas this week, according to a weekly survey released Friday.

Regular-grade gasoline retailed for an average price of $2.85 in the 11 Texas cities included in the AAA Texas gas price survey. That was 5 cents less than last week. Nationally, the average retail price this week was $2.94 per gallon, 8 cents less than last week.

The most expensive gas was still found in Amarillo where regular grade averaged $3.07 per gallon, despite an 11-cent drop from last week.

The cheapest gas was still found in Corpus Christi, where regular grade fell 10 cents to an average of $2.72 per gallon.

These are average per-gallon prices of regular, self-serve gasoline in Texas metro areas and the change from last week, according to Friday’s Triple-A Texas Weekend Gas Watch:

Austin-San Marcos – $2.851, down 4.2 cents

Amarillo – $3.068, down 10.7 cents

Beaumont – $2.818, down 5.3 cents

Corpus Christi – $2.720, down 9.7 cents

Dallas – $2.825, down 4.6 cents

Fort Worth – $2.811, down 6.0 cents

Galveston-Texas City – $2.815, down 4.1 cents

Houston – $2.789, down 5.0 cents

San Antonio – $2.817, down 4.5 cents

Texarkana (Texas only) – $2.825, down 7.7 cents
