Sunday Planner: First Armored Division Band Annual Holiday Show, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl Selection, and more

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Looking for something to do on the last day of the weekend? We have you covered!

Here's a list of some events that you and your family can take part in this Sunday:

  • 90th Annual Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl Selection Event
    • Find out who will playing in this year's Sun Bowl in this free event. It takes place Sunday, December 3rd at the Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. An announcement is expected to be made around 1:30 p.m. You can count on ABC-7 to bring you the announcement directly to your phone via our KVIA mobile news app. Giveaways will take place during the event as well.
  • First Armored Division Band Annual Holiday Show, 'Do You Hear What I Hear?'
    • This annual show will take place Sunday, December 3rd, 2 p.m. at the War Eagles Museum in Santa Teresa, NM. If you miss Sunday's show, the band will play again December 9, 2023 at 7:00pm at the Andress High School Fine Arts Auditorium.
  • Tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe
    • This bilingual tribute will take place Sunday, December 3, 11 a.m. at San Elceario Church, 1556 San Elizario Rd. in San Elizario, outdoors in front of the historic mission church. The free performance will feature the bilingual play The Dark Virgin / La Virgen Morena, preceded by Native American and followed by Spanish dances that "illustrate the blending of these two cultures through dance, mirroring their blending in religion, represented by Our Lady of Guadalupe." If you miss this show, there will be another Saturday, December 9, 6 pm at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd. in Socorro, indoors in the Church Hall, and another the following day.
