Construction Work On U.S. 54 Results In Lane Closures
EL PASO, TX – Texas Department of Transportation officials have closed off a portion of north and southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 54. Traffic crews are working on widening the highway.
The lanes above the intersection with Hercules will be closed off throughout the weekend. Drivers will have to detour onto Dyer street. Traffic on Hercules will be diverted to surrounding streets, officials said.
Work started Saturday on northbound lanes and will continue on southbound lanes on Sunday. All work will be finished by Sunday evening, officials said.
