YISD’s Montenegro ‘Lone Finalist’ For Arlington ISD Job

ARLINGTON, Tx — Hector Montenegro, superintendent of the Ysleta Independent School District, has been named the lone finalist for the Arlington Independent School District superintendent position.

The AISD Board of Trustees unanimously selected Montenegro after a nationwide search.

“I am excited about the opportunity to become a part of the AISD because of the community support and the excellent reputation of the faculty, staff and students. I am committed to working with the board to build on strengths of a district rich in history and poised for greatness,” said Montenegro.

Texas state law mandates school boards must wait 21 days before officially appointing a superintendent. Montenegro is expected to be appointed on November 28.
