Crews Battle House Fire On East Side
EL PASO – Local fire crews worked fast to extinguish a fire at a home in East El Paso on Friday. The flames broke out just before 8 p.m. at a house along the 9800 block of Cosmos, not far from Burges High School.
The blaze was isolated to the garage, and did not extend to the other areas of the home, fire crews said.One resident managed to safely get outof the building andsummon help.
Theowner of the home was down the street when he was informed his house had caught fire.
Damage was estimated at $60,000, fireofficials said.
