Albuquerque-Area Child Killed When Father Backs Into Her

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.(AP) – Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies say a 2-year-old was killed after she was hit by her father’s sport utility vehicle.

She was identified as Valeria Solano. Investigators say the child apparently darted out of the family home yesterday after her father, who did not see her run out.

Sheriff’s officers say the girl was killed instantly.
