EL PASO — The Mexican Consulate in El Paso will dedicate its traditional Day of the Dead altar to two International Boundary and Water Commission officials killed in a plane crash.

A ceremony lighting up the altar will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Mexican Consulate on San Antonio Street. Arturo Herrera Solis and Carlos Marin will be honored, as will the spirit of cooperation they shared while they were alive.

U.S. and Mexican officials will attend along with their loved ones. The public is invited to share in the ceremony and celebrate Mexican traditions.
