Driver Arrested After Hit And Run, Charged With DWI
EL PASO — An early-morning collision Saturdayturns into a hit and run.
Police arrested Donovan McKenzie, 37, shortly before six and charged him with driving while intoxicated.
Traffic investigators say McKenzie crashed into a car with his Dodge Ram pick-up truck near the intersection of Hercules and Gateway South in northeast El Paso.
The driver in the car called police and had to follow McKenzie when he failed to stop.
Police finally caught up to McKenzie five blocks down in the 4100 block of La Luz and arrested him.
No one was hurt.
