Man With Gunshot Wound Airlifted To Hospital
SAN ELIZARIO, Texas — A man who claimed he was shot in Mexico was airlifted to a local hospital on Monday evening, El Paso County Sheriff’s officials said.
About 5:30 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and Border Patrol agents found the man, who is in his 20s, near the river levee on the south side of the fence near the 13300 block of Petunia in San Elizario, Texas. He had a severe gunshot wound to his left arm, officials said.
Life Ambulance and Fabens Fire Rescue responded to the scene before the man was airlifted.
Sheriff’s officials said the man claimed to be a Mexican national. Officials did not release his name and medical status, citing security concerns.
