Southwest Suspends Albuquerque Flights

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – Southwest Airlines has suspended 14 flights into and out of Albuquerque’s international airport Friday, citing concerns about weather.

Southwest spokesman Paul Flaningan says snowy weather at the airport and high winds across the region prompted the airline to suspend Albuquerque operations at 11 a.m. MST. He was hopeful flights could resume at 4 p.m. MST if the weather improves.

Dallas-based Southwest operates 51 daily flights to and from Albuquerque.
