Suspects Detained In Deadly Juarez Ambush
The Mexican army detained five men for carrying army weapons and has tied the men to an ambush on Friday that killed seven federal and muicipal police officers and two civlians, according to the Mexican attorney general’s office
The attorney general’s office also tied the men to 36 murders and the extortion of 21 businesses.
The MX army confiscated shotguns, a machine gun, an AK-47 and two large SUVs.
The suspects told investigators they are members of “La Linea,” the enforcement arm of the Juarez drug cartel.
Two of them confessed that they shot at the federal agents Friday with AK-47s.
The businesses would be forced to pay pay from $80 to $250 dollars per week. These were hotels, bakeries, internet cafes, butcher shops, alarm companies, etc.
