Rio Grande Causing Concern In South Texas

The remnants of Hurricane Alex are taking their toll in South Texas.

In Rio Grande City, the Rio Grande is expected to crest at more than 55 feet. The river has been rising for days after being filled with rain water from Alex’s remnants.

Meanwhile in Laredo, where parking lots and neighborhoods looked more like lakes, the river was 42 feet deep.

The international bridge was almost covered in water, while a popular shopping mall looked more like a ghost town.
