El Paso Lands 2013 LULAC Convention

The 2013 League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Convention is coming to the Sun City.

According to the El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city will host the four-day convention in July 2013, which will bring as many as 1,800 delegates, 200 students, and around 300 guests, with over 4,200 hotel and motel rooms utilized.

The conference will “garner great national media attention for El Paso,” says Bill Blaziek, general manager of the El Paso CVB.

El Paso has already hosted the 2010 United States Bowling Congress Women’s Championships, which took place March 27 to July 4 at the El Paso Convention Center, and will host the 2011 Conference USA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.
