Charred Vehicle, Body Discovered in Horizon City Desert
An El Paso Sheriff’s spokesman confirms a body was inside a charred vehicle discovered near Eastlake High School Wednesday afternoon.
A school employee who did not want to be identified told ABC-7 they saw the car on fire around 2 p.m. and called for help.
Investigators on the scene covered the vehicle with an orange tarp as they awaited a truck from the county medical examiner’s office.
The scorched vehicle was found about a quarter-of-a-mile away from new homes along New Britton Drive.
“There are lots of kids around here,” worried one neighbor.
