Northeast Man Runs Over Himself With Truck

An 80-year-old Northeast man was run over by his own truck in Thursday morning.

At about 11:30 a.m., El Paso Police officers responded to assist Charles Lindsay. It was not clear if Lindsay was getting into or out of his 1995 silver GMC Sierra pickup, but the vehicle was which was parked in the driveway to his home when it started to move backwards. It traveled out of the driveway and ran over Lindsay, who had fallen out of the vehicle and onto the sidewalk.

The vehicle continued moving in a circular direction and came back across Rutledge St and collided into a rock wall. Lindsay was transported to William Beaumont Army Medical Center in critical condition.
