Smoke In Plane’s Cockpit Causes Emergency El Paso Landing

A plane made an emergency landing at El Paso International Airport on Thursday just before noon after smoke was reported in the cockpit of the plane, according to airport officials.

Officials said the Continental Airlines 737 passenger jet, which was not scheduled to land in El Paso, landed safely and was checked out by emergency crews.
