High Speed Chase Ends With Soldier Arrest

El Paso Police arrested a Fort Bliss soldier after he was spotted driving at speeds topping 140 miles per hour. They say he was caught thanks to other alert drivers.

Police said an officer observed 21-year-old Justin Keeling speeding in a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer on Loop 375 just after 8 p.m. Friday night.

They said the officer tried to pull him over, but Keeling allegedly ignored the officer and kept on speeding.

Investigators said other drivers eventually corralled Keeling’s car as he entered a residential street. They said those drivers then called police and told them their location.

Keeling was ultimately arrested. He’s now charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Reckless Driving.
