Armed Man Robs Northeast Credit Union
Police and federal agents are looking for an armed man who robbed the Navy Federal Credit Union on Thursday morning on the 4700 block of Hondo Pass Avenue
Investigators said the robber stormed into the credit union brandishing a gun and instructed everyone in the bank to, “Get down! Get down!” He then approached the teller and said “Get me the money and don’t (expletive) it up,” said FBI agents.
The robber then fled through a rear door with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators said the bag with the money had a tracking device, but they later found it without the money.
The robber is described as a 6-foot-one black man about 25-30 years old, weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing dark blue or black gym pants, a light colored hoodie, a tan bandana over his face, dark sunglasses, gym gloves and a knapsack or back pack.
The robbery is being handled by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes the El Paso Police Department and El Paso Sheriff’s Office.
