StormTrack First Alert for Friday AM

A StormTrack Weather First Alert expired Friday morning, following cold overnight low temperatures.

Temperatures dipped into the low 40s and upper 30s around the region– a stark contrast to lows in the mid 50s and 60s in the past weeks.

The record low low temperature in El Paso this late in the season was recorded May 2, 1967 when we hit 31 degrees.

We should warm up nicely by the weekend with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Reported wind gusts in west El Paso reached 66 mph at Hornedo MS, 62 mph at Dr. Green Elementary, and 52 mph at KVIA studios early Thursday morning.
