Police searching for man who crashed SUV into west El Paso yard
El Paso police are searching for the driver of an SUV that crashed into the yard of a westside home overnight.
The incident happened just after 3 a.m. on the 900 block of Thunderbird Drive. The homeowner says he stepped out of his home right away after the crash and saw the driver, but when he went back in to get a phone, the driver had taken off on foot.
The car came within feet of a gas meeter. The fire department came out to check for leaks as a precaution.
