Three marijuana busts involved suspected women

Customs and Border Protection seized more than 300-pounds of marijuana at the Zaragoza bridge this week. All the suspected smugglers are women.

CBP officers said the women were nervous when they confronted them. CBP said the pot is worth more than a quarter of a million dollar.

CBP El Paso port Director Hector Mancha said in a statement: “History has shown us that smugglers can be any gender, race or age.” Mancha said the fact that the suspects are all women isn’t strange anymore.
