Chicago terror suspect to plead guilty in deal
Prosecutors and defense attorneys in Chicago say they have an agreement for a terrorist suspect to change his plea to guilty.
They told the presiding federal judge about the agreement during a status hearing on Thursday for 29-year-old Shaker Masri.
The Chicago man is accused of plotting to become a suicide bomber overseas.
Attorneys left open the possibility that the plea deal could fall apart.
But defense attorney Thomas Durkin says he is confident it will hold.
They set a July 20 court date for Masri change his plea.
