Pedestrian killed by car in Northeast El Paso identified
A 31-year-old man who was struck by a car Wednesday night has died at University Medical Center.
El Paso Police identified the man as Ricardo Rangel, of the 5100 block of Antonio
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. in the 5200 block of Antonio in Northeast El Paso.
El Paso Police said the man was crossing the street when he was struck by a 1993 Oldsmobile Achieva that was traveling east on Antonio.
The 21-year-old driver remained at the scene and called for help.
Police said alcohol could be a contributing factor in the crash on the part of Rangel.
