Ballpark construction crews to work around the clock
The drilling and hammering could get even louder in downtown El Paso.
The city’s engineering and construction department will hold a meeting to update residents on the ongoing construction to complete the stadium.
Crews could soon begin working on a 24/7 schedule to meet the April deadline for opening day.
“I feel like it’s going to be noisy, I’m not going to be able to sleep. I know they want to get done on time, but they probably should’ve pushed it back a little further,” said resident, Lovanna Pickett.
Officials will also discuss the reconstruction of Missouri Avenue between Santa Fe and Durango streets.
Sun Metro will also be at the meeting to talk about how it will help accommodate passengers and residents during the construction.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Scottish Rite Temple, 301 W. Missouri Avenue.
