Man sent to hospital after early morning rollover

A man was taken to the hospital after his car rolled into a tree trunk Tuesday morning.

The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. on the 1500 block of Montoya Lane, which is in the Upper Valley near Doniphan Drive. Our Round the Clock crew was on the scene as emergency responders worked to get the man out. Police had to be careful, since the car was shaky and there was a risk the vehicle could fall on them.

One the man was out, he requested to be taken to a hospital. The cause of the rollover is still under investigation. There is no word if speed or alcohol played a role.
