Stabbing in at Central El Paso bar leaves one man with life-threatening injuries

Several people are in custody following a stabbing inside the Alameda Bar in Central El Paso Saturday.
Police said they believe they have taken in those responsible for a variety of assaults on bar patrons, including the stabbing.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning, when the El Paso Police Department’s Gang Unit was called to the bar on the 3200 block of Alameda.
Three men reportedly entered the bar, and began attacking people, officials said.
The attackallegedlywas the focused on the 27-year-old victim, who was stabbed more than once.
ABC-7 cameras were rolling as police kept roughly a dozen people against a wall of a nearby building.
Police told an ABC-7 photographer the people were witnesses to what appeared to be a fight. That fight involved broken bottles and at least one knife, officials said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. His condition was critical.
