Car hits power pole overnight

Witnesses told ABC-7 that a pole was knocked down around three this morning near the Dallas exit.

The El Paso Electric Company responded and was in the process of replacing the broken pole Saturday.

The incident occurred when a car got off interstate ten eastbound at the Dallas exit but failed to stop crashing into the wooden pole.

The driver was not seriously injured. However, power lines fell onto the railroad tracks. The freeway was clear.

As of seven o’clock Saturday morning, the Dallas exit remained blocked off.
