A few El Paso high school student athletes advanced to the state meet.

Paulo Benavides of Franklin came in first in the pole vault

Dejon Strayhorn of Franklin won the long jump

Cameron Laverty of Americas came in second in the 800 meter run.

KeAndre Bates of Burges won the long jump and broke his high school record with a jump of 23 feet and 8.75 inches.

Annthony Dudley of Parkland won the discus.
