El Paso Police search for suspect in 2 aggravated robberies
El Paso Police are investigating two aggravated robberies that occurred four hours apart.
According to police, the first incident happened at the 7-11 at 6680 Montana just before 11 p.m. on March 24 when the suspect approached the counter like he was going to buy something.
When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect showed a large knife and allegedly threatened the clerk and grabbed money from the register.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second Aggravated Robbery occurred at the 7-11 at 10026 Montana at 3:05 a.m. March 25.
The suspect then allegedly repeated same M.O. as in the first robbery.
Police describe the suspect in both cases as a black male between 50 and 60 years of age, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot tall, and in both cases with slight facial hair and blue jeans.
In the 3:05 a.m., case the suspect was wearing a blue flannel shirt and a knit cap. In the 10:53 p.m., case the suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, white t-shirt and a baseball cap.
Investigators believe that the two Aggravated Robberies are related.
