No arrests made in shooting outside East Side Walmart

No arrests have been made in a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon at an East Side Walmart.

El Paso police say that a 34-year-old man was involved in an argument with a group inside the Walmart at 12236 Montana that continued in the parking lot.

The man, whose name was not released, was shot in the abdomen and taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived.

Police say that although it was initially reported that the victim and suspects were related, that information has not been confirmed. Police say they believe that all parties involved were familiar with one another.
