El Paso Police officer wounded in drive-by has been released from hospital
El Paso Police confirm to ABC-7 that the officer wounded in a drive-by shooting last week has been released from the hospital.
El Paso Police Officer Mike Garcia was shot several times on night of Oct. 20 when he pulled someone over near the intersection of Yarbrough and North Loop.
Garcia was wearing a bullet proof vest.
Police say that 30-year-old Frank Aparicio shot Garcia and killed Cecilia Diaz at a different incident.
Aparicio then killed himself.
Diaz’s and Aparcio’s bodies were discovered at different locations on Oct. 21.
