Burrito Crisostomo makes GQ Mexico’s list of must tastes
Recently, one of Crisostomo’s regular customers approached General Manager, Luis Anzures with news that the local burrito legend had made the Mexico edition of the December/January GQ Magazine.
“At first I couldn’t believe it” said Anzures. “I had to see it for myself”. He got a copy of the magazine and sure enough on page 298 – four restaurants from four different cities in Mexico.
Crisostomo has been in business since 1980 and is family owned and operated.
Crisostomo presently has 3 locations in El Paso (Mesa, Resler and Lee Trevino) and 6 in Juarez.
“What an honor!” exclaimed Anzures regarding the article He added, “To be picked as one of only four restaurants in the entire country is really something special.” The article, while brief is complimentary of the burrito’s authenticity, fine ingredients and names the burrito deshebrada en verde as something truly exceptional.
GQ Mexico boasts audited Mexican circulation of 70,560. With those kinds of numbers, Burritos Crisostomo is sure to get some new customers from across Mexico who can taste and savor what we in El Paso and Juarez have the luxury of enjoying every day.
