Developing: Police investigate morning robbery at west El Paso convenience store
The El Paso Police Department is investigating a robbery at a west El Paso 7-Eleven Convenience Store.
A police spokesman said it happened around 6 a.m. Thursday morning on the 4800 block of N. Mesa Street.
One of the two suspects fired a gun as they entered the store. Officials at the scene said it is unclear if the gun was fired intentionally or on accident. No injuries were reported.
An official at the scene told an ABC-7 photographer the suspects entered the store clerks were changing shifts and emptying out the cash registers.
The suspects reportedly fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said the suspects were Hispanic men wearing beanies, with most of their faces covered up.
