Former Holloman Air Force Base tech sergeant found dead in his Las Vegas home

Tech. Sgt. Christopher Mclean, assigned to the 49th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Holloman, was found dead in his home in North Las Vegas, Nev., at about 9 a.m. Aug. 15, according to Holloman Air Force Base officials.

No foul play is suspected at this time and the incident is under investigation. Mclean, formerly the 49th AMXS aircraft section assistant NCO in charge, recently moved to Las Vegas in preparation for his retirement from active-duty service in the U.S. Air Force.

“It is always a tragedy to lose one of our own,” said Col. Andrew Croft, 49th Wing Commander. “Sgt. McLean served his country honorably for 18 years and touched the lives of countless friends and colleagues. Please keep his family and Team Holloman in your thoughts and prayers as we all mourn this tragic loss.”

Holloman Airmen in need of support or assistance can contact a chaplain at 575-572-7211 or the Traumatic Stress Response Team at 575-572-5676 during normal duty hours. After hours, either agency can be reached 24/7 at 575-572-7575. Details regarding a memorial service will be released as soon as arrangements are made.
