Man charged in 3 home invasions
El Paso Police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man in connection with three home invasions.
Police say that Filemon Mitchell Sanchez, of the 3700 block of Morehead, has been charged with two aggravated robberies and three charges of burglary of habitation.
Police say that Sanchez and others working together would allegedly display badges, and a handgun and enter residences where Sanchez was known to the victims and allegedly commit theft.
On April 1, 2013 Sanchez and two others allegedly entered a residence in the 4200 block of Emory and displayed a handgun and badges before they took jewelry, money and phones from the home.
On April 5, 2013 Sanchez and two other unknown suspects allegedly entered an apartment in the 700 block of Mesa Hills, displayed a handgun and badges and Sanchez demanded to know where the money and “the stash” were.
Sanchez and the other suspects fled the apartment with money, jewelry, and electronic equipment. On September 5, 2013 Sanchez and another suspect allegedly entered an apartment in the 300 block of Bartlett, displayed a handgun, badge, and demanded property.
Sanchez and the other suspect fled with $1,000.
Sanchez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on the two Agg. Robberies and three counts of Burglary of Habitation. His bonds totaled $375,000. Police continue their investigation regarding the outstanding suspects in these cases.
