ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Dangerously hot temperatures return!

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- We are under an ABC-7 First Alert for dangerously hot conditions! Temperatures are expected to trend above average through at least midweek.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for portions of El Paso County including Tornillo and Fort Hancock.

• Heat Advisory in effect from August 24, 12:00 PM MDT until August 24, 09:00 PM MDT

Today we woke to comfortable conditions temperatures were in the upper 70s. By afternoon El Paso is expected to reach a high of 104. If we do that will mean we are leaning dangerously hot it will also break a standing daily heat record of 102.

Conditions are likely to remain dry through our heatwave though at least midweek.
