ABC-7 First Alert: Scorching heat continues!

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- We remain under an ABC-7 First Alert once more because of the heat! Temperatures are expected to climb to uncomfortable highs.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for El Paso and las Cruces

• Heat Advisory in effect from August 25, 11:00 AM MDT until August 25, 09:00 PM MDT

We started this morning of with temps in the upper 70s to low 80s. By lunch expect record-heat potential. El Paso's high could reach 105, Las Cruces 103.

Temperatures are expected to exceed dangerous conditions don't forget to stay hydrated today and try your best to avoid outdoors during peak heat between 2-5PM.
