Bullying and your child: how to help

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Bullying doesn't make as many headlines these days as it once did, but it's still a thing our children's schools. Cyber bullying is on the rise, due in part to how much access children have online both in and out of the classroom.

58% of children in the U.S. have reported cyber bullying at some point. It can be cruel - from comments, posts, and now AI deepfakes. Kids can be hesitant to report bullying.

Parents can be on the lookout. Your child might be affected if they stop wanting to go to school or experience sudden changes in eating or sleeping patterns. They can also be on the lookout for anxiety and depression. Experts say changes of any type should be discussed and monitored.
