First Alert: Heavy rain, flooding hits Northeast El Paso

The ABC-7 StormTRACK weather team has issued a First Alert for the potential for additional rainfall tonight which could lead to more flooding in the NE.

Early Monday morning heavy rain developed over northeast and north central El Paso. Parts of northeast El Paso picked up 5-7inches of rain while the rest of the area didn’t see that much.

This NE rain led to sever flooding on roadways, and at homes and apartment complexes as well as businesses. The flooded areas are expected to remain a concern tonight and overnight, with more rain possible.

By Tuesday, rain chances quickly drop off to only 20 percent. The rest of the week looks fairly dry.
