El Paso Sheriff’s Office ID woman through shirt, death investigated as homicide

The El Paso Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman who was found dead in the desert east of Anthony, Texas months ago.

Sheriff’s officials say someone killed her.

Deputies have identified her as 49-year-old Hilda Monge.

Her body was found near the Franklin Mountains on Oct. 31, 2014 with no identification.

Detectives asked the media at the time to show a photo of her T-shirt in hopes it would create leads in the case. The shirt stated, “Dream WITHOUT FEAR / LOVE WITHOUT LIMITS.”

Monge’s last known address was 7343 Alameda Ave.

If you remember seeing Monge in the Westway or Vinton area, call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at 915-546-2280.
